“Patience helps you endure all the troubles and issues that bother you. When you reach a stage, where the only remaining option is to release the things that are clinging on to you and pause your life, you feel enlightened and feel the positive impact of the change, and you no longer see yourself a victim of life.
Kaleidoscope – Colours of Life is a tapestry of inspiring stories, suggestive poignant thoughts and ideologies that serve as a guide in every stage of life. Interlaced with threads of experiences of life and the lessons learnt from them, the book depicts seven inspiring stories weaved into the magnificent array of a rainbow. Charting the various shades of life, the book further highlights the ups and downs of each of the characters, who are embedded here as a metaphor for a rainbow, in the patio of a plethora of circumstances.
By sharing wisdom, experiences and insights, Kaleidoscope – Colours of Life intends to deliver a message that will inspire and empower the readers to sense happiness and contentment, and help them to navigate life as a truly confident individual.”
In the shades of chaos and complications in the journey called life it is our will and positive outlook that charges us forward; this book colors those bright shades of our life. The book is the third installment in A Living Series by Inderjit Kaur. It is basically divided in two section Part A and Part B where in A, rainbow as metaphor is used. With each shade in rainbow , several life crisis or issues and the overcoming of it is depicted. In B life experience, contrast and hues of living is focused.
I found the title of the book, the thought , the presentation to be creative and catchy. The concept of the book is really impressive and it is powerful enough to kick start introspection in many minds. The writer did a brilliant job in framing the thoughts and theme of each story with coherence and beauty. The tag end quotes in the book is very striking and appealing , it was like cherry on the cake to the story. My favorite lines include : Our introspective quest is to define who you are; since lack of self esteem is the root of many problems. and The best fighter is never angry.
The writing style is good but it could have been better to keep interest of readers connected till end. A little more focus on plot of the stories with elements of surprise and suspense in between, effectively could have made it better.
I would rate this book 4.25/5 and suggests readers to explore this creative and inspirational series.
