Born in the quiet village of Shambala, Kalki Hari, son of Vishnuyath and Sumati, has no idea about his heritage until he is pitted against tragedies and battles.
Whisked into the province of Keekatpur, which is under the fist of Lord Kali, Kalki sees the ignominy of death trumping life all around him. He learns that he has been born to cleanse the world he lives in, for which he must journey to the North and learn the ways of Lord Vishnu’s Avatar; from an immortal who wields an axe.
But trapped in the midst of betrayals, political intrigue and forces that seek to decimate him, will he be able to follow his destiny before the Kaliyug begins?

Book 1 ~ Dharmayoddha KALKI by Kevin Missal is mythological book inspired from the concept of Lord Vishnu’s tenth avatar – kalki. It takes you to the world of author’s creation to meet the existence – Kalki, the warrior for justice … a crusader! You should read the book to meet him, know him and get enthralled by him.
Being a mythology genre lover, this one was ought to impress me but maaan… I did not expect this much!!! In spite of the size of the book, I had this urge to go on and on and finish it in just one go. The story telling style of the author is indeed commendable, it is a gem of a book that I came across.
The hard work and research efforts are evident from what you read. The author easily makes you think along with him, through the story and get involved in it. the book will pull you into it and each character will leave a certain impact on you.
The book cover design is the next amazing thing about it, simply amazing. The book is appealing to a reader in every sense. I as a reader is pretty much pleased with this and it will remain in my favorite list.
I will rate it 4.75/5 😀 ; eagerly waiting for the next installation in the series.
